These areas are delivered through pre-developed lesson plans with a focus on \u201clife skills\u201d and project-based learning, English language and Maths. The life skills component is delivered through providing daily structure for students in the form of routines, behaviour management and self-regulation \u2013 care for belongings, eating, drinking, packing away, dressing, sleeping and toilet training.<\/p><p>Prime Areas (focus on fundamental development):<\/p><ol><li>Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED)<\/li><li>Communication and Language (CL)<\/li><li>Physical Development (PD)<\/li><\/ol><p>Specific Areas (introduce academic and world knowledge):<\/p><ol start=\"4\"><li>Literacy (LD)<\/li><li>Mathematics (MD)<\/li><li>Understanding the World (UTW)<\/li><li>Expressive Arts and Design (EAD)<\/li><\/ol><p>Early Learning Goals: By the end of Reception, students are expected to meet specific ELGs across these areas.
